District 3A is larger in square miles than the states of Delaware, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. In fact, the District is larger than Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C. combined! - The District is comprised of Lake of the Woods and Koochiching counties and a large part of Itasca County. Included in that territory is the Northwest Angle -- the northernmost point in the lower 48 states!
- Population: 36,745 -- an average of less than 5.4 people per square mile!
